| Great Scott Tree Service, Inc. has developed a comprehensive tree inventory program to assist you in the efficient management of your trees. The program utilizes a GIS (Geographic Information System) component that provides the user with a visual representation of the trees in the field. The program was developed by an ISA Certified Arborist with over ten years experience in the tree inventory industry. |

TrimIT The most difficult task for the person responsible for tree care is maintaining accurate work history records. TrimIT will give you the ability to maintain work history on each individual tree. The work history includes, the date work was performed, the type of work and the total cost. The true challenge in tree management is locating trees in an open space environment. Trees in a golf course, park, apartment complex, school ground, etc. are difficult to identify using a standard tabular database program. By applying the mapping component to the database the functionality increases exponentially. Easy-to-Use Interface The user will feel right at home with this familiar web-based interface. The database allows the user to query the data on a variety of fields and conditions. The mapping component is a scaled down GIS system, that is designed for the tree professional not the computer programmer. |

Efficient Resource Management Time is the most valuable resource for any professional. TrimIT will optimize the time spent on tree management. Our mapping feature will eliminate the need for site visits. All trees are inventoried including the species, dbh, height, condition and maintenance costs. An area on the map is highlighted and the maintenance cost can automatically be calculated. Order work by viewing a map and highlighting the desired trees, TrimIT will print a work list and a map of the locations for an outside contractor or in-house crew. Scheduling TrimIT was designed by tree care professionals for tree care professionals. Keeping this in mind we realize that scheduling future maintenance is a constant challenge. TrimIT allows the user to select trees on the map and create a work list. Individual or multiple trees can be selected using the tools provided by TrimIT. Long term pruning schedules may also be applied to the data. |

GIS Capabilities While TrimIT will provide the standard user all the necessary mapping capabilities, some end users might require additional GIS functionality. In this case the customer will be provided with an ESRI shape file which is the industry standard for GIS data. GPS Data Collection Our data collectors use the Trimble Pro XRS unit, which provides real time sub-meter accuracy. With additional “post-processing” methods employed the accuracy can be within centimeters. Hazardous Tree Evaluation Utilizing ISA standards all hazardous trees will be identified for further inspection. TrimIT will calculate the cost for tree removal. Management Plans An ISA certified arborist will work with the customer to develop short term and long term maintenance plans. The plan will include the elimination of current tree related hazards, identification of potential planting sites and pruning schedules. The comprehensive database provides all the data necessary to estimate future maintenance expenditures. |

Tree Valuation Utilizing standards recognized by the International Society of Arborists, TrimIT calculates the real value of each tree. Handheld Application The true power of TrimIT is realized when the data is taken into the field. Our data can be downloaded into any Wiindows CE compliant handheld computer. Gasb 34/35 Compliance Cities, School Districts and Public Universities are required under Gasb 34 (Cities and School Districts) or Gasb 35 (Universities) to evaluate their infrastructure assets and maintain them with an Asset Management program. TrimIT meets all standards for Gasb 34/35 compliance including tree valuation, maintenance schedules and a condition evaluation. Web Based Solution TrimIT can be accessed through the web. Using security privileges any member of your organization can access the information via the world wide web. |
